Giveaway--The Dogma Dogs CD!

Catholic Child Catalog, one of my wonderful site sponsors, sent me The Dogma Dogs CD to listen to with my kids, and another to give away to one of my readers!
We popped The Dogma Dogs into the CD player in the car while running errands, and it was an instant hit with all of us. I couldn't help but chuckle as I glimpsed my 5 year old daughter slapping her knee in time to the music when I looked in the rear-view mirror. Later, she and my 7 year old son were doing a "raise-the-roof" move to one of the songs--I have NO idea where they learned that one, but it was pretty funny. The songs are catchy, fun and all of my kids really like them.
I love that the songs are in many different musical styles--from a sweet and lilting Ave Maria, to a "hoe-down"/bluegrass style " 21 Ecumenical Councils--that is my personal favorite. Some of the melodies were instantly familiar, like the 10 Commandments of Mt. Sinai which is cleverly sung to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas and Pharoah, Pharoah, sung to the tune of Louie, Louie.
I was surprised, too, at how much we ALL learned just by listening to and enjoying the music. Did YOU know there were 21 Ecumenical Councils? I certainly didn't, but we all know it now! The kids were learning solid catechism (without even knowing it) as they were singing along--the order of the Mass, the lectionary cycle of the 4 Gospels, the Trinity and much more.
