He was reminding his readers that when you refer friends and they join Swagbucks, you'll get matching points, up to 100 points per friend you refer. This will definitely make your "bucks" add up much faster! He must have referred a LOT of friends!
It is pretty much a win-win, though. You refer friends, they happily start accumulating Swagbucks to redeem for prizes, and you accumulate THEIR Swagbucks, too. And if your friend refers, you'll also get your friend's friend's matching Swagbucks... (say that sentence 5 times fast!) :)
To invite friends, go to Swagbucks, click on the "Promote" tab, then "Invite Friends and Earn".
Like I've mentioned before--I'm kind of hooked, even though I only have 2oo something points right now. Since the Swagbucks can be redeemed for gift cards, this is how I am going to get some of my Christmas shopping done. I figure I might have 800 points by December, if I'm lucky. Here's my plan:
-3 $10 Starbucks Gift Cards (130 points each), one for each teacher
-1 $10 Barnes and Noble eGift Card (125 points) for a friend
-9 $5 Amazon eGift Certificates (45 points each) to use toward games/toys/clothes for the kids
Or, you could use all your points for Amazon certificates and take a huge chunk off a big ticket item like a Wii (or a LAPTOP!).
