I was introduced to Silver Jewelry Club a couple of years ago, and was skeptical--they offer FREE jewelry? Ya, right! What's the catch? I read reviews all over the web, though, that praised the value and quality of the items so I decided to give it a try and ordered a necklace. I fully expected costume jewelry, but was astounded to receive a beautiful, quality piece of jewelry. There is no catch (I promise!)--they truly do offer their items for free in the hopes that you'll return to order from their retail catalog. I have ordered from them several times now and am thrilled with the items. I always get compliments when I wear one of my necklaces.
I thought I'd mention this to you now, since the jewelry makes beautiful (inexpensive) gifts, but takes a few weeks to arrive, and it might be even slower as we approach the holidays.
Here's how it works:
- They offer one item at a time for free--it may be a pendant, earrings, or a ring. All are gemstones set in silver in rather unique settings. You have 15 minutes to buy that item, then a new item will be available.
- They charge $6.99 per item shipping--but honestly, it is so worth it!
- Pendants come without a chain. You can add a 16",18" or 20" silver chain for $4. I just have one chain and I switch out my pendants. So, even WITH a chain, a necklace would be $10.99, shipped.
- Read the dimensions carefully. It can be hard to tell the size from the photos. One pendant was a little smaller than I expected, but it is still my favorite.
- They are not gift boxed. But for that price--I don't care!
Here are 2 of my pendants. It's hard to tell the color in the picture, but the longer one has brown stones, and the smaller one is a chartreuse green.
I'm going to keep an ad up on the right of the page that shows in real time what item is being offered, so you can wait until something strikes your fancy.
I gave some as gifts last year, and everyone was very happy with the jewelry. This would be a great gift for almost any woman, at any age, that won't decimate your budget.
