We don't go to movies often. It's just not usually in the budget--the tickets, popcorn, and drinks can easily add up to $100+ for a family of six. There are a couple of dollar theaters near us--that makes the tickets more affordable, but not all the movies we like make it to the dollar theater, and those that do have been out for months and months and often have awkward showtimes--like at our kids' bedtimes. And of course, we rent family movies we want to see, but the experience is nowhere near the same as being in the theater with the huge screen and surround sound.
General Mills is beginning a new promotion called Movie Cash that will make a family night at the movies a little more affordable.
When you are at the grocery stores shopping for cereal--look for the specially marked General Mills Cereal packages of Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Trix and Reese's Puffs. Specially marked boxes will have a code inside for Movie Cash! Enter the e-codes at generalmills.com/moviecash. For every two codes you enter, you will earn a FREE movie ticket that you can print and use at theaters near you. This is a great, easy way to earn a family night out to the movies!
Tickets are valid for up to $12 each, and are valid for 60 days from the date they are issued. You can get more info and find participating theaters here.
To celebrate the Movie Cash promotion, General Mills and My Blog Spark sent me a Movie Moment prize pack with 4 movie tickets and a coupon for a free box of General Mills cereal. One of you will win the same Movie Moments prize pack, too!
To enter to win, just fill in and submit the form below. You can enter through November 9 at 11:59 PM (I'll choose a random winner on November 10). Good luck, everyone!
