Snow Ice Cream

My kids were SOOO excited to have a snow day yesterday (No school!).  It's become a tradition to make snow ice cream for a fun treat on snow days.  It's really easy and fun for the kids.

To make snow ice cream, you'll need:

A large bowl of fresh, clean snow
3/4 cup Sugar
1 teaspoonVanilla
2 cups Milk (use half and half or evaporated milk for creamier ice cream)

1. Mix the milk, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl.
2. Stir in the snow one cup at a time until it reaches soft serve consistency.  Eat immediately (or freeze) because it melts super fast!

Variation--mix 8 cups of snow, one teaspoon vanilla and one can of sweetened condensed milk (from Paula Dean/Food Network).
