The Coupon Mom's Guide Giveaway Winner
Congratulations to Lisa F. who is the winner of The Coupon Mom's Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bills in Half.
On the entry form for this giveaway, I asked the question "How much do you currently save on groceries by using coupons?" and here are your responses:
- 11 % do not use coupons
- 42% of you save about 10%
- 26% of you save about 25%
- 21% of you save at least 50%
OK, ladies--some of you are already coupon experts, and some of you have room for improvement! :) Using coupons DOES take time, preparation, and organization, but coupons CAN save you a ton of money each month (and no--not just on junk food. There are coupons for meat, fruit, salad, nuts, eggs, milk...).
If you do not use coupons at all, just think about how much money you will save if you could save even 25% each month. If you normally spend $500 per month on groceries, and you could save 25% (which is $125) by spending about an hour per week cutting coupons, organizing and planning, that is like paying yourself $25 per hour. Not bad, right? Just think of all the other things you could do with $125 each month...
Right now, as I stare at the foot of snow in my backyard, I think I should be saving up for a trip to the beach!
