Review: 4 Troops

I always break out the patriotic music around this time of year for Memorial Day and Independence Day.  I love the timeless inspirational lyrics and majestic melodies.

4TROOPS, just released on May 11, delivers just that. 4TROOPS is not only a group of 4 talented US combat veterans with incredible singing voices, but the album  is also "for" troops -- Sony Music will donate 50 cents from each sale of the 4TROOPS album in the United States to organizations that support veterans and their families. (the American Legion, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF) and the USO). The songs range in style from traditional (Medley of Battle Hymn of the Republic, Grand Ole Flag, America the Beautiful) to country (I'm Already There, Bless the Broken Road) and there are a few great new songs as well.

You can learn more about 4TROOPS at their website where you'll also be able to hear their music and read the biographies of the musicians.  Also, you can catch 4TROOPS on the PBS special "4TROOPS: Live at the Intrepid" which will air throughout June.   The 4TROOPS album is available for sale now in stores and online.
If you are the parent of a child who is serving, are a veteran yourself, have a parent who served in the armed forces or if, like me, you just like patriotic music, you'll enjoy 4 TROOPS.  Father's Day is coming up and this album would make a great gift for Dad, too.

God Bless America!

Disclosure:  I was sent  complimentary review copy in order to obtain my honest opinion.  No other compensation was received.
