Free Educational Resource: Verizon Thinkfinity

I received an email about Verizon Thinkfinity--a free digital resource from the Verizon foundation that supports education and literacy.

I've only explored it a little so far, but there are some really nice resources!  Every link I click on leads to more and more pages of great activities, ideas, and other resources. I appreciate that there are activities and links for every grade from Kindergarten through 12th grade.  I've bookmarked the site because I saw many things that will come in handy for homeschooling lessons with my son. I know he'll love the space exploration stuff! One I like is Xpeditions from National Geographic (I love maps!). There are lesson plans, an atlas with maps for the entire world down to individual nations, games and an interactive museum.

There is also a great page of summer fun activities with educational podcasts, games, and activities for all grades. I know my kids haven't been doing much summer learning other than reading, so this looks like a fun way to keep their minds engaged.
