In celebration of its 50th birthday, Pampers is recognizing how much parenting has changed over the years, and is sharing their belief that every baby is a little miracle that deserves to be celebrated, supported and protected, by unveiling its Little Miracle Mission campaign – a program that delivers acts of kindness to miracles and their families while encouraging parents to support others.
The brand recently kicked off the Little Miracle Missions campaign by delivering care packages to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the country.
The public can easily participate in the Miracles Missions programs, and support little miracles across the country, by logging on to Pampers Facebook page (Facebook.com/Pampers). Pampers is also asking everyone to pay-it-forward by participating in the first Little Miracle Mission- to congratulate and offer support to an expectant mother with a gift or surprise gesture. Pampers will issue different missions throughout the entire year to celebrate all aspects of parenthood, and with the help of parents, family and friends, they hope to touch the lives of every baby born in the next year.
I was given a $50 American Express Gift Card to use as I wished to do a random act of kindness. I ultimately decided to go on a shopping spree for our church's food pantry--supplies have been low and they have been asking for donations. I went to Meijer and carefully shopped for food and items that would be shelf-stable and could provide 2-3 average families with several days of food, including breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
Here is a list of the items I purchased for a total of $57:
2 boxes of Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats cereal
2 boxes of Frosted Mini Wheats Touch of Fruit Mixed Berry cereal
2 boxes of chewy granola bars
2 jars of Hunts spaghetti sauce
2 jars of Ragu spaghetti sauce
2 jars of Peter Pan creamy peanut butter
2 jars of Smucker's Strawberry Preserves
4 large cans of soup
2 boxes of Ronzoni Smart Taste pasta
2 boxes of store brand pasta
2 Hormel Compleats Cheese and Spinach Ravioli
2 boxes of Jiffy muffin mix
2 boxes of buttermilk pancake mix
syrup
6 pk of cinnamon applesauce
2 packages of Knor Butter and Herb noodles
6 boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
Old El Paso Hard and Soft Taco Dinner Kit
Store Brand Crackers
Hungry Jack Instant Mashed Potatoes
Beef Gravy Mix packet
Hopefully these food items will be a help to individuals or families in need. Since we have a tight budget, I usually am only able to donate a few items at a time--it was so much fun to be able to shop for and donate bags and bags of food! Thank you for the opportunity, Pampers.
